About me

Kevin Maier is a professional animator originally from the San Francisco, Bay Area. Growing up, he loved Disney, Saturday morning cartoons and creating stories of his own. He was always seen drawing and painting and knew he wanted to become an animator when he grew up. 

In Spring 2014, he graduated from San Jose State University's Animation/Illustration program, where he gained a solid understanding of art fundamentals. After graduating, he enrolled in the iAnimate Feature Animation Program to focus on 3D animation. During his time at iAnimate, he was able to learn from top animators and work on various remote freelance projects. In September 2017, he graduated the iAnimate feature program and relocated to Vancouver, Canada where he completed his first feature film, Hotel Transylvania 3 and earned his first Netflix TV show screen credit on Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. Since then he moved to Los Angeles and just wrapped up at Walt Disney Animation Studios as a Crowd Fix Animation Apprentice on Frozen 2. In his free time he enjoys swing dancing, restoring his old VW Bug and, creating comics for fun.
